The Melt Story

In 2014, MELT founder Kari Crowe-Seher figured out what was missing from DFW: premium small batch, high-quality ice cream! Our house made ice creams are made with a high percentage of butterfat to give them a depth of creaminess, they are made in limited batches with the highest quality dairy and all-natural ingredients. We make every inclusion by hand, and we bake every cookie with recipes we’ve developed using only the best ingredients we can get our hands on. We even designed our own riff on the classic oreo cookie for our cookies and cream called Cookie Crush, its a slightly salty cookie with dense dark cocoa powder! Our vanilla waffle cone recipe is made with real butter and heavy cream. We don’t rely on flavorings or extracts to build our ice creams, we use fresh fruits and often partner with local farmers. It's a lot of work, but we think you can taste the quality that our team puts into every pint, every scoop, every sammie, and every ice cream cake that we make.

Melt has been serving happy ice cream to the fine folks of Fort Worth since we opened in 2014, but now you can find MELT at four locations, boutique grocery stores, and events all over the city.

Charity PARTNER

We at MELT, are proud to partner with The Birthday Party Project, a non-profit whose mission is to bring JOY to children experiencing homelessness through the MAGIC of a birthday party! They host monthly birthday bashes (complete with games, decorations, cakes, and FUN) at homeless and transitional living facilities across the country. A portion of each purchase made at MELT scoop shops is donated straight to The Birthday Party Project.

Team Melt

Team MELT is made up of incredible people who all work together to bring JOY to our communities, the MELT way! From our operations director to our scoopers, everyone plays a role in the daily functions of MELT. We employ bakers and ice cream spinners at our kitchen whose culinary skills keep the quality and creativity in our flavors flowing. Our teams are taught what it takes to be a first-time manager at a scoop shop by learning how to balance budgets and inventory. When you join MELT, whether you are managing a team, working on our culinary team, delivering our products to a store, or scooping ice cream we believe that you have a direct impact on our local community. Our whole team makes MELT the special place it is. We work hard and have fun!
